When adding maps to the PassEdge App, you have two options available:
Option 1: Custom Map with Icons
- For this option, you can create a custom map with an empty image and design custom icons within Umbraco. These icons will represent various locations or points of interest within your institution.
- After creating the icons and associating them with locations in Umbraco (see Map Locations), you can then assign those icons to the custom map. This process ensures that the map within PassEdge App displays the designated icons in their respective positions.
Option 2: Map URL Integration
- In this option, some institutions may have already created custom content within Google Maps, including locations, descriptions, and other relevant information.
- Instead of creating maps within PassEdge, you can directly integrate your existing map content by entering the map URL. PassEdge App will load the map content within its app "frame," allowing users to access and explore the map seamlessly.
Both options offer flexibility and convenience, allowing you to choose the approach that best suits your institution's needs and preferences. Whether you opt for a custom map with icons or prefer to integrate an existing map URL, PassEdge App will ensure a smooth and engaging map experience for all users.
