This documentation will be tailored to examples of how the Denver Museum of Nature and Science has set up tours.
PassEdge offers three distinct types of experiences to enhance user engagement and provide a seamless app ecosystem:
-
Browser Feature: This experience type utilizes the device's default web browser while disabling the top navigation bar, ensuring a smooth integration within the PassEdge app. Users can access digital menus, ticket purchasing, or other web-based content while staying within the PassEdge ecosystem. This seamless integration enhances user convenience and provides a unified experience.
-
Quiz Tour: The Quiz Tour feature offers an interactive and engaging experience for users. It allows for the display of interesting content or the utilization of Bluetooth beacons and/or QR codes to guide users through the facility. The Quiz Tour can also include quiz questions to verify the completion of the tour, with the option to award engagement badges to users. While quiz questions and badges are not mandatory, they add an element of gamification and rewards to the tour experience.
-
Media Tour (On Hold): The Media Tour feature, currently on hold, aims to enable audio tours within the PassEdge app. Initially, audio tour files are hosted on a separate mobile-first webpage, and the "browser feature" is used to display audio guides within the app (example: https://www.dmnsaudioguidespanish.com/) . However, future development may allow direct media management within Umbraco/PassEdge, offering a more integrated and seamless solution for audio tours.
