Badges are used within a Quiz Tour Feature as a reward for completing a quiz.
To add badge images, navigate to the "Badges" section within the Umbraco tree and select the "Create Badge" option at the top of the window:
Badge Name
The name of the badge serves a dual purpose within the PassEdge App. It will be displayed in two key areas:
-
Awarded in the Tour: When users successfully complete a quiz or achieve the requirements for earning the badge during the tour, the badge's name will be prominently displayed to acknowledge their accomplishment. This immediate recognition reinforces the sense of achievement and encourages further engagement with the app.
-
Badge Title in "Badges" Section: The badge's name will also serve as its title in the "Badges" section of the PassEdge App. This section allows users to view and track all the badges they have earned, providing them with a sense of progress and motivation to collect more badges.

Badge Image
To enhance the visual appeal and recognition of badges within the PassEdge App, consider using interesting shapes that allow badges to be identified by their outline even before they have been earned. This design approach adds a touch of excitement and anticipation for users as they see the unique badge shapes waiting to be unlocked.
Custom Badge Outlines:
- Instead of traditional square or circular badges, explore creative shapes that align with your institution's theme or brand. Unique outlines can make badges stand out and add a fun element to the app's user experience.
Grey-Out for Unearned Badges:
- PassEdge automatically greys-out badges that have not yet been earned in the Badges section. This visual cue clearly distinguishes between earned and unearned badges, motivating users to complete quizzes and achieve their goals.
